วันที่ 28-30 มีนาคม 2557 ทางบริษัท Hubba Coworking space ได้จัดกิจกรรม Startup Weekend Bangkok2014:Creative Edition ซึ่งเป็นมูลนิธิของอเมริกา Startup Weekend คือการแข่งขันการสร้างผู้ประกอบการ (entrepreneurs) โดยใช้เวลา 54 ชั่วโมงในการคิดค้นไอเดีย สร้างทีม คิดแผนธุรกิจ พร้อมกับลงมือผลิตให้เป็นธุรกิจจริงที่สามารถตอบสนองการแก้ปัญหาและความต้องการของตลาด แต่ครั้งนี้เราจะเน้นเรื่องไอเดีย และความคิดสร้างสรรค์มากขึ้น

Startup Weekend เกิดขึ้นในปี 2007 ในรัฐโคโลราโด ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา เริ่มขยายวงกว้างไปยังยุโรปและเอเชีย ปัจจุบัน Startup Weekend มีการแข่งขันตามเมืองสำคัญถึง 180 เมือง ใน 60 กว่าประเทศทั่วโลก จนถึงปัจจุบันโครงการนี้ได้สร้างผู้ประกอบการเพิ่มขึ้นบนโลกใบนี้มากกว่า 30,000 ราย ในจำนวนนี้สามารถเกิดเป็นธุรกิจขึ้นจริงมากกว่า 1,100 ธุรกิจ

Startup Weekend Bangkok Creative Edition 2014 invites designers, business professionals and developers to join the world’s biggest and best known experiential learning event at PAH CREATIVE SPACE, Bangkok’s newest coworking space for creative, artists and designer.

Startup Weekend Bangkok Creative Edition 2014 is just like any other Startup Weekend: 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations. Regional Operations Manager, APAC at UP Global

Sheikh is on the Operations Team at UP Global, the umbrella brand for Startup Weekend, Startup Digest, and NEXT. He focuses on building startup communities across Asia Pacific. Over the past few years, he’s traveled and lived in 30+ countries, and developed an iron stomach for street food.

Before UP Global, Sheikh cut his teeth on healthcare software, real estate, and city government. A native of Bangladesh, he grew up in NYC, studied at Cornell University, and has spent the past few years living, hiking, and buying fleece jackets in Seattle. Ask him questions about cooking,

Currently, he’s based in Delhi and figuring out how to blow up startup communities in India.

Amarit Charoenphan

Co-CEO & Cofounder at HUBBA

Amarit Charoenphan is a startup ecosystem builder, serial events organizer & entrepreneur. Prior to starting Thailand's 1st startup coworking space (HUBBA) & Thailand's 1st creatives & design coworking space (PAH Creative Space), he worked in management consulting and ran a social enterprise incubator for a local non-profit.

He is actively building the Thai startup community through events and workshops such as co-organizing Echelon Ignite Thailand, Thailand's biggest international tech startup conference (www.e27.co/ignite) and was Thailand Country Host for Geeks on A Plane Southeast Asia tour, on top of the 100+ events he's organized in the past 2 years.

He’s also has a stealth startup in the works, is the active only Startup Weekend Organizer in Bangkok & Global Facilitator in Thailand among other things. He is based in Bangkok but calls Southeast Asia home. In his spare time, he likes to scuba dive and to visit different coworking spaces across the world.
